Frequently Asked Questions

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and I’ll answer any questions you may have. It’s a collaborative and pressure-free space.

Currently, all sessions are offered virtually. This allows for flexibility, privacy, and comfort—you can attend sessions from your own space using a secure video platform.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. We’ll work together to find a schedule that suits your needs, goals, and availability.

Each therapy session is typically 50 minutes long. This time is fully dedicated to you and your therapeutic process.

I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Services offered by Aless Wellness Clinic are not covered under OHIP, but can often be covered by extended health insurance plans and are tax-deductible. The coverage for each insurer is different, so please check your plan to confirm coverage for Social Worker Services, the claim procedure, details required on receipts, and whether or not you will require a referral letter from your physician.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, we require 48 hours notice. Let us know by email or call and leave a confidential voicemail. If a late cancellation occurs (or no show), the full session fee will be charged.

Yes. Your privacy is very important to me. Everything shared in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions which we’ll discuss in your first session.

I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies—tailored to your unique needs.

Not at all. You don’t need a diagnosis or crisis to begin therapy. Many people seek support simply to understand themselves better or navigate life more effectively.

Therapy is a process, and progress can look different for everyone. Over time, you may notice changes in how you think, feel, and respond. We’ll regularly reflect on your goals and growth together.

You can contact me directly via the contact page to request a session or ask any questions. I offer availability Monday to Friday from 8am–6pm, with evening sessions available upon request.

Aless Wellness Clinic fees are informed by the recommended guidelines of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Wokers, and College of Psychologists of Ontario.

The cost for a 50 minutes therapy session is CAD140. Prices are adjusted accordingly for 30 minute or 90 minute sessions.

Fees are payable by e-transfer at the time of your appointment, or to be received the day of your appointment just prior to your session start time.
